I take mine off and store them in the shed, they only go on when I am going away. It only takes a second to make sure they are all lined up and ready.

After having my motorbike stolen from my house, everything is locked away and I will soon be getting this, Swann Security - Home & Business Security - 8 Channel DVR8-2500 & 8 x PRO-555 Cameras - Security Recorder Kit with Internet Viewing

If anything does get taken or damaged, it will not take me long to find the scum bags.

We recently had the spotlights stolen off an ambulance that was parked out front of the officers residence while he was on call.

As for the side topic on this thread, its all about the evidence and what can be proven.

If you were to say plant a "drop" gun on a scumbag then it would make sense to ensure that the finger prints are also on any bullets that might be in the gun as well as being on the trigger and stock etc.

Perhaps an object that just looks like a gun would be a lot easier.

I use these:

ANTI THEFT LOCK NUTS FOR LIGHTFORCE, HELLA OR IPF LAMPS - eBay Other, Lights, Indicators, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 25-Feb-10 14:54:57 AEDST)

so far so good. All the other cars in the street had stuff taken.. not my county. Mind you, maybe they took pity on me.. it does look a sorry state at the moment!

Exactly the same nuts I used on my ex Cibie's. The nuts dissapeared too.
Room for a hammer & centre punch to be used?
As per my post, they used a diversion.
