Talking CC's Working Walkabout Thread

Some of you may or may not know, I changed jobs midway through my "Annus Horribilis" last year, and then again in January this year. It is not important WHAT I do, but my new job has me in demand all over the place, so I am going to be doing a bit of travelling around.

Now normally I would just go to the pub and start fights to pass the time, but thought maybe I could use my time more constructively. As I am travelling, I can move goods, and meet fellow enthusiests.

Tonight for example, I am sitting in a Motel room in Gayndah. Two weeks ago I spent the night in Cairns, then flew to Townsville. There are plenty of opportunities here for a little AULRO social beer events.

This coming Sunday night I will be in Inverell, Tuesday night in Hervey Bay, Wednesday night in Bundaberg (POP58 I'm booking you in).

The following week, Monday night in Goondawindi, Tuesday night in Roma and throw in a Kyogle just before or after Easter for good measure.

So if you want some crap moved, or to meet a marked man, just let me know. I will keep my movements updated in this thread.

I won't be driving next week, Paul. I'm passenger.

But normally will be a dunnydoor wagon. Has towbar, but 1600kg limit.

Am working hard on a new vehicle

Does this mean you will get the DTs if you stay home for too long?

Buying a Landrover is like becoming a Buddhist. Surviving the criticism from Nissan owners is part of the path to enlightenment.

Being an "International Man of Misery", my area of operations is the Great State of Queensland and the top of NSW that should belong to us anyhow.

In saying that, I do on occasion have to visit Sydney and Melbourne, so keep that beer on ice Dullbird. Just missed Frankfurt, but Switzerland and Finland is on the cards.

I do try to avoid the 'hamptons Weeds, (you know that from elsewhere), but the call has gone out for me to make urgently make a visit, if there is anything left if this cyclone comes through there. I'll keep you posted. (btw is your ph broken)

Geez, that's not too far off. But mind you, the beer is expensive, and I am not convinced our present temperatures would appeal to a Queenslander.
