its an ex army 6x6 and other than parts swapping, cleaning, occasionally driving (when it wasnt broken, on fire, or waiting on something else for it to do) the appys didnt do all that much of anything to it.

the only bits landrover on it are the steering box, some of the front panel work and the front chassis.

oh thats (at last count)about $1.5 million of your tax payers money (over the life of the project)

That I'm aware of, no-one in the technical trades was recruited by any direct involvement of that vehicle. Rumour control has it that there were a lot of hopefuls that didnt make the grade, some took employment in an alternative corps.

The rims you see on it are the "bling rims" not the ones they do the burnouts on. They tried that once and blew out $10k of rims.

IT's allegedly going to goto a museum when they get the next thing going which is going to be one of the old bombs off of the ALTC workshop floors and apparently as its a much lower budget effort the appy's will actually do something on it.
