Roll of cat-whatever cable
face plate
rj45 sockets
hole drill
cable clips
length of conduit or yellowtongue to pull cable through long runs
punchdown tool/krone tool to put the wires in the socket.

Yeah, it is rocket science.

Make sure they are ACMA licenced as it is illegal to perform data cabling work without a licence. You should also request that they provide you with a TCA1 form as this is a requirement by law. This form specifies their name, licence no. and business details. The description of the work undertaken and the location of where the work was performed.

If they do a bodgy job it is their responsibility to rectify it. If they are unable/unwilling to fix it report them to ACMA.

Wow really? In NZ anyone can do it. But sparkies get almost all the work just because they're already setup with all the gear and contacts.
