Methods of freight from UK

Well, I wanna buy one of these X-eng High Performance Off-Road Engineering but $400 aus for post practically doubles its price I emailed Simon, but he said he makes nothing of freight but would be willing to utelise other freight so long as I sourced, so, 2 options, 1 I need to find a freight company that sea freights? so its cheaper or 2, convince Tony he needs one as that means its just over $500 frieght, which would be $250 each

Problem with 2 is I'm not sure how the duty thing works, would this put it over? is the duty on items over 1k including freight charge?

duty is charged on the invoice value of the goods at the current exchange rate. GST is levied on this plus the freight.

I can tell you, from experience of sending many things overseas from the UK (including to Australia) that interparcel.co.uk is about the cheapest and most efficient way to move parcels around the world.

You / Simon can book online and a few days later its with you.

If you can get it to me in Germany by the end of next week I can bring it back for you Matt.

Not sure if there is any duty from one country to the other?

How heavy is it?

I dont know if this will help but i ordered some shocks and springs for a Rover SD1 from Rimmer Brothers in England about 2 weeks ago and it cost me 118 pounds in freight to my door. And that weighed in at 24.1 kg.So i reckon it would be similar to that.

Ah - OK - may be an issue. Looks like I only have 20kg - and need half for myself.
