    A question

I have a serious question and i would like a serious opinion from you..

the place continues to grow and i would like some serious feedback to help keep the place relevant and pointing in the right direction.

if you had the chance, what would you like to see change, that you consider would make aulro a far better place and why you think it would be an improvement...

    TIA

feel free to PM me if you prefer.

An adult hidden section where the adults can post something with a swear word or two. Theres a lot of "innocent" and funny internet content that cant be shared here. Not an "anything goes" just a little looser so I dont keep getting infractions

This is probably very left field from the scope of your question, but here's an idea I've had before....

The concept of The Good Oil is fantastic. But I've always thought the format of it - sticky threads and just a section on the forums - is a bit limited. The perfect format would be a Wiki. To edit (and maybe view) you have to have an AULRO account, so same forum rules apply, but instead of losing good content into the depths of the pages and pages of new threads and a new post/thread for every piece of new information, each problem/solution/tutorial/guide can be added to, updated and create a single source of information for each topic.

Where content of pages is up for debate - we have the forums - the perfect medium. Plus the content can always have multiple suggestions/ideas for solutions where there is disagreement.

Does that make sense? What do you think?

Eg. We must have a million threads on "overheating 300TDI" (or similar). There could be a page for "overheating 300TDI". It has different troubleshooting methods, and links to pages with solutions, tutorials on changing a head gasket.... etc, etc.

Is there a better form of notification for a thread you posted in?
It's just a bit difficult trawling through all my recent threads to find the one that's been replied too
Not that I have anything better to do with my time than browse AULRO
Perhaps the ability to tag people in comments, so that they're notified that people are talking to them?
Oh, and can we add Jeep to the swear filter? That would be funny
    Cheers

Ban personal chit chat that contributes zilch to the topic under discussion. It makes it hard when you're looking for useful information and you have to look through post after post of irrelevant information. W.

    Ditto,
It would take some administration but it would be great to read a technical thread that stays on topic. Perhaps a button that a serious reader can press to read relevant contributions that will remove off topic contributors.
