    7 stages of greaser grief

I think we have all been in similar situations at one time or another during our motoring life. I think this article sums it up pretty good.

Thats not Greasers grief, This is greasers grief.

Denial."this'll be easy, its just a disco with a rocker leak, crap, its a v8 Cant be, Im sure I booked in a tdi, they must be here for something else my clients running late."

Pain and Guilt "Oh god no, its an EFI auto too, why wasnt I told, no, I must take pity with them they dont know any better, I shouldnt be too judgmental about it."

Anger and Bargaining "AFTERMARKET intake,,,,,,,,.... NGGHHWERHWOFDFOSOFS no, maybe I can get away with it if I just carefully tetris the parts out from under it, please just let everything flex just enough without breaking so I dont have to pull the inlet down"

Depression, Reflection, Loneliness "Sigh of course the rocker cover head bolts are all chewed up, I must be an optimistic masachist, I know the easy jobs never come my way yet I keep taking them on I must be the only idiot on the planet who spends his time looking after engine properly"

The Upward Turn "They're off, and I didnt break anything on the way in and it looks like the parts are going to fit in straight out of the box"

Reconstruction and Working Through "ITs all going back together, at least if it leaks the bolts are no longer corroded in place, it wont take anywhere near as long and if I need more parts I can tack on those other things that werent quite right if they want to."

Acceptance and Hope " ok, so Ive had to work on a v8 but it wasnt really that bad, I hope it doesnt leak and that they forget about me being a mechanic before they come back to get the auto serviced. "
    Dave

"In a Landrover the other vehicle is your crumple zone."

For spelling call Rogets, for mechanicing call me.
