    Yeah it will, after about a fortnight. Bug for a few days your metabolism will increase if you're on a restricted diet, and for good reasons. Your doc is telling you old, disproven, discredited news.

    HH was borderline diabetic so went on the diet, no sugar, is a big ask for him, he only drinks soft drink and coffee and water. He lost 12kg and feeling much better. Hmm I must remind him to go back to the doctors and check his sugar levels again.

    To clarify my comment. I'm not referring to Type 1 diabetes as I have no knowledge of it. I am referring to normal people and Type 2 diabetes.

    I understand that Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune condition and is a completely different kettle of fish.
