Good question

I have a mismatched set of tools in sizes that are all over the place.
That in my Fender, good to know that I have the same type of tools in my shed too,

I keep going to clean and sort it all but never get around to it.

Have one of those alloy breifcases for a tool box, also holds spare air hose, fuses, globes and a ton of small assorted screws bolts and other fixing stuff.

I carry two secket set, screwdriver set, spanner set, allen keys trolley jack, the list goes on and on.
You never know when you've gotta help fix a broken toyota.
I think my kit weighs in excess of 40 kg's. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif[/img]

Hi ya guy's I have about 5or6 tool boxes full of tools but also have my better tools which go in my tool trolley ( cheap at $149 )

When offroading I take my biggest tool box and put in all the tools I think I need including a grease gun and pump for diff/gearbox oil, also take a box of goodies/spares.

I totally agree with Richard, however after recently being in this situation - I found myself doing the opposite... I wanted a set that I could permanently keep in the vehicle so I started looking at sydchrome/kingchrome/eclipse and was staggered at the prices. I already have the good gear which I keep in my workshop, so I could justify the additional expence. In the end, I reasoned that a tool set that I kept in the car would very rarely be used, so I brought the cheapest **** I could find and at the end of the day, I have a tool for everything at a fraction of the price.

Seriously, the tools I carry :

2 phillips head screw drivers (1 big 'un and 1 lil 'un)
2 flat head screw drivers (1 big 'un and 1 lil 'un)
2 adjustable wrenches (1 big 'un and 1 lil 'un [6" & 12"])
7/16, 1/2, 9/16 open and ring combo spanners
1-1/16 socket with a 2ft breaker bar
Oh, and the back of the axe is used if I need a hammer.

Other stuff I carry:

Electrical tape (2 colours of)
Tube of metal putty
WD 40
Rope
Spare belts
Spare length of hose (5/8ths? Whatever size heater hose rangie's use).
1L pre-mixed coolant
1L 20w50 oil.

I should carry radiator hoses too, but haven't got around to it yet.

Seriously, don't ever use that metalputty on your exhaust.
