    Baby/Child seat in D90

Before i get to it. Yes iv read through the good oil section on baby seats. I've also spent a stupid amount of time googling to no avail. So i turn to the power of the all knowing "Aulro-ians".

Everything i read about capsules and booster seats is referring to 110's and installing a crab bar.

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction for information on what i can and cant put in my 2013 D90.
The baby will be spending 99% of its time in the wife's corolla but for that 1% of the time that we want to take it in the deefer i need to find a solution.

    I have a couple questions.

1 - I've heard of people putting capsules in the front passenger seat. Legal? or more importantly safe?

2 - I know there are no approved tie down points for capsules in the back of the deefer so do i bite the bullet and wait until its old enough for a booster seat?

3 - Is it legal to put booster seats in the back of a 90. (the type that attach to the seat only without any anchor points).

4 - Are these my only options? or am i completely missing the obvious.

Hope someone has answers to at least one or all of these question or i might be taking a break from driving my pride and joy for a while haha.

    Cheers.

I have an older 02 defender, but have seen the new model with the bolts installed into the structure of the seat itself in Puma 110's by a company next to the Camden or Campbelltown dealership. Get in contact with them and see if they could send it with instructions to a local installer. They where called something like comptune or comptime. It was a very neat job and looked like factory same as a prado or other wagon with bolt points in the seats.

I asked the same question of the RTA re my 110, as I had planned to pull the back seats out.

    1) Only legal to put a capsule / booster seat in the front if (and only if) your car is complied as a 2 seater.

    2) You may be able to get an certified attachment point engineered in, but I doubt that will come cheap.

    3) Yes - booster seats can go in any seating position with a seatbelt, except for the front row if you have more than one row of seats.

Once you get to booster seats, more side support, and more padding is better. As you know defenders, especially 90s, pitch and roll all over the place when offroad

    That's comptune engineering.

I know they can put attachment points in the back of the second row of 110 seats, but not sure if this can be done for the second row 90 / third row 110 seats.

Gut feel tells me they can't (as you can only bolt in to a seat that already has a seatbelt fixed to it like the second row middle seat in a 110), but worth asking the question though...
