Why do girls have to do there makeup and hair at the lights

Hi this is Heather, what is with these girls and young women doing there hair and makeup up at the light. I just got stuck behind one today She was doing her hair and not watching the light turn green. Sat there for a while with her sun visor down mucking around with her hair.
I gave up, and gave her a blast on the horn, she turn around and look like she was saying what's up. Then she took off. Don't they do it at home. This one of my pet hates, as well as people not using indicators. Why the manufactures put them on car, people never use them, you have to guess where they are going these days.
Will that my rant of the day.

I thought it was so they look their best after the prang caused by texting and driving.

Someone once told me that the average flasher can on a modern car only holds about 40,000 blinks so it is obviously not wise to waste them willy nilly at every turn!
As for doing the hair, at least it is an improvement on squeezing blackheads, I suppose.

A few years back I was in Sydney and pulled up at traffic lights. In the lane alongside me a woman had the sunvisor down and looking in the mirror and putting on eyemakeup.

Better they're doing their hair while stationary there at the lights instead of at full speed. As for indicators, they're only for their convenience or if the police are there too.

Heather, what usually happens is that they finally get moving but they are the only ones to get through the lights which change to orange or red almost immediately after they have crossed the white line.

The short answer to the original question is, because they don't have danglies to scratch.

Just this evening, on the freeway, two zoomed past me. One of them (who was old enough to know better), zoomed past me four times. Zoomed past, slowed down, zoomed past, slowed down, zoomed past, slowed down, zoomed past. Somewhat annoying. The other was a young chicky babe on P plates.
There are some really bad drivers out there who just don't give a flying about anyone else.

Because for 60 -90 seconds that part of the intersection is a mini 'red light ' district?
