I should have mentioned this earlier. The bidding has closed with the message "The seller ended this listing early because of an error in the minimum bid or reserve amount" but to could be worth following up if you want a diesel for a Series Landie. In West Gippsland, Vic.
See item 4537434356 "Motor - Nissan Diesel ED30, was running before being removed from a Landrover to replace gaskets. Needs rear main oil seal and gasket. This is a good, strong motor, and apart from the oil seal and gasket, is in perfect condition. My father has to part with another one of his little projects, as he is relocating interstate, and can't take all the toys with him. " Starting bid $1.00
I didn't keep a check on the 5-speed gearbox with LR transfer case conversion from this same engine so I don't have the eBay number.

You need it with the gearbox and transfer case to mate to the engine.

A word of caution, I've cut and pasted this from a previous reply on this forum.
I had the 3 litre nissan diesel with the 5 speed box on a Land Rover transfer case. The adaptor was made by Marks 4WDs in Melb and I bought it new.
I would <span style="color:red"><span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:100%">NEVER EVER </span></span>recommend this conversion to the Land Rover Transfer Case.
I have heard of several people who did the conversion, a couple have been really happy with it, everyone else had had a lot of trouble. The conversion itself is a good idea, but it is just under engineered.
The Nissan gearbox is heavy and is suspended between the motor and the t/case. The t/case is mounted quite rigidly on the LR and as the motor flexes (when it revs) it puts pressure on the adaptor. The bolts are tapped straight into aluminium and it does not take long for them to come loose (mine infact got ripped out somewhere between Alice Spings & Katherine). The adaptor doesn't line up very well and the t/case howls with this conversion, even in conversions where the adaptor does not give way.
After less than 3,000km I sent the gearbox & transfercase back to Marks and they charged full price for a replacement. The replacement unit broke in less than 2,000 km, leaving me stranded in the Kimberley.
1st phone call Marks said it would be covered by warranty.
2nd phone call they said they would cover parts, but not labour due to distance 8O
3rd phone call, they said I had to send the gearbox to them, for them to ascertain if it was a production fault. :?
4th phone call, they said that they didn't do the service and so they can't provide a warranty. When asked what "service" was required in less than 2,000km, they said I had to have the oil checked by them every 500km!!!!!!! :x :x :x
I bought another gearbox and repaired the modified box, I helicoiled the tapped aluminium adaptor, put high tensile through bolts where the adaptor could be drilled through, reco'd the t/case and again it lasted less than 2,000km. :x
Since then I've settled for lower top speeds, slower cruising, but more reliable transport with a 2.25 a 4 speed box.
On the upside, the Nissan box with a good motor will hurtle you along at 140kph and the Series Landy handles surprisingly well (steering / suspension) at such speed. (I only did it once in the NT - legal) usually 110kph was my cruise speed.
