Is the oil level being checked correctly, eg cold in park (for example)
Recently had a service kits to auto gear box and now slips when going uphill. Mechanic reckons adequate transmission oil in gear box. Any ideas whats wrong

Hi, the D2 auto must be filled and level checked whilst the engine is running, the gear lever must be put through the gears to circulate the trans oil. Then put back into park, The level is correct when you have the engine running and a 5mm bead of trans fluid starts to pour out. The Vehicle must also be on level ground
If it was merely filled to the top of the fill plug on a stationary engine or cold engine then it will not have correct level of trans fluid.
Cheers, Mario
Many thanks. Will go back to mechanic and check
If it has an internal oil filter that should also be changed or it will clog up the flow of oil.
