Hello all.
My name is Brad and this is my first post on this site. The reason I have joined this site is that an old mate of mine has some black and white photos of Land Rovers from the late 50's and early 60's that he wants to sell.
He has no internet access and has asked me to sell them on his behalf on e-bay, but I thought that a forum such as this may be a better option as the users of this forum would appreciate the historical significance of the photos.
There are two albums that were produced for Annand and Thompson at Buranda, in Brisbane, who were importers of Land Rovers. I have had a quick look through the albums and although the albums have some slight dammage, the photos as a whole are in very good condition. Some of the photos include what seems to be the first Rover for sale in Brisbane, A&T showrooms, publicity shots of new models and one of what appears to be the first Rover being unloaded in Australia? I think there's about 200 pics in all.
If this post generates some interest amongst the forum users I could post some pics from the albums. Also if this post is in the wrong thread then I would ask that the moderators move it to the appropriate thread.
My mate also has two more similar albums of Volkswagons, also sold by A&T and has been offered $500.00 for both of them but he turned down the offer. He is only interested in serious offers to what he believes to be rare and collectable photos. All photos are genuine prints not reproductions.
I will post a pic here to give you all an idea of what is for sale.

I reckon you are right mate. They would be fantastic pics but anyone who owns a Land Rover is automatically poor so we never have money for anything else.
Good luck.

That way you are addressing the Landrover enthusiast market AND the populace at large, and the price ends up being determined by who is prepared to pay most for it, whether they are on this forum or not.
