Mick, What have you found?????
There seem to be way more series vehicles available in New Zealand at the minute.
Just curious. Has anyone on here imported from NZ before? Any bad problems/experiences?
Just a thought.
Merry Christmas.
Cheers

Oh go on give us a hint then.
The only thing ive heard with vehicle imports is that it must be ubber clean or they will sting you for cleaning fees (hundreds of $$$$$)
My B.I.L. works for Air NZ. He used to do freight and handled lots of vehicles. Apparently a roll on roll off the plane is not as expensive as may be imagined (still not cheap). But the cars have to be quarantine cleaned, so not really a good option if you want to pick up a bargain ute from a farmer.
Apart from freight it will be no cheaper then anywhere else, and as said AQIS have a field day over used imported vehicles.

Baaaaaa baaaaaaa baaaaaaaaa baaaaaaaa
I know.......
A Jeep and it will be BLACK
Baa Baa Black Jeep................
my dad brought a XJ Coupe and a Daimer SP250 back with him from auckland.
both were professionally steam cleaned in NZ prior to leaving, AQIS in melbourne docks still wanted them cleaned again however...
take that advice how you want to....
Just seems to be more on offer over there at the moment thats all Steve.
Few 110 v8 2 door jobbies, would make great 100" Defenders, alla LRH's beasty.
90 v8 with less than 60,000ks on italthough a little pricey at $10,000.
And plenty of 2a shorties. I'm not sure of the rust situation in NZ though. Is it a major problem like it is in UK? Anyone?
I'm just looking around. I'm bored and want a new project. Cant seem to find diddly over here. Could make a hybrid out of the Rangie. Could just buy a V8 110 too though. Much the same thing with less hassle. But then I can't use my lockers in it. ARRGGHH. I'm bored!

The only reason rust is a big problem in the UK is coz we use salt on our roads in winter...It eats the cars alive!!! In NZ, they use volcanic ash and so the cars out there last forever. So much so, that while there I seriously looked into getting a 1960s VDub split screen camper to take home...

BTW - One reason there may well be a lot of series vehicles on the market there is coz a few months ago the NZ army sold off a lot of their old kit.
