The only thing in common with a L/Cruiser is the fuel consumption

And they have trouble getting up too I'm told

Sailfish Marine, the builder of this horsepowered catarmaran, is about 800 metres from my house.

I and my kids saw this rig (complete with trailer with four axles!) on the back of a float, towed by a serious prime mover.. passed thru Alstonville just a few days ago...

I wondered where it was going...

It was kinda big!

Oh, and just a note to Mark 'n' Deb:
Sailfish is for real

they build boats like this all the time from a small operation at Russellton, which is just across the road from Wollongbar and immediately west of Alstonville....

if your tojo disbelieving troggies have a prob, I'll be over the road in the next few days and well, if you'd like some more pics........

Given I know (vaguely) the boss (Darren), I'll mention this post to him, that'll be interesting!

Sailfish is all about large alloy, outboard powered cats (and no, I have no affiliation.....but a mate works there as an outboard mechanic)

BTW, the guys at Sailfish use a F250 4wd loooonnnnggggggg wheelbase for towing their boats and even it looks small behind some of their creations.

My neighbour brought a F350 to tow his boat and it isn't as big as this one, mind you where he goes fishing, it's a 10 hour drive.
