    Disco 1 front bumper plinth

I've picked up a factory LR nudge bar for my Disco from DiscoDazz (Thanks Dazz). I now realize that these were fitted with a different center section to the bumper (LR call it a plinth) to allow the nudge bar to fit. It is the section that the number plate fits to.
If anyone has one that they are willing to part with for a reasonable price, please let me know. I have attached some images to illustrate what I'm on about. I can buy one new but it is a bit expensive and I'd like to avoid this if possible.

    Thanks
    Paul

I have the same A bar fitted from new and never noticed a difference to other frontbars. Are you sure you need it?

I wouldn't have thought you really need it. It's just for 'cosmetics'

Just mount the no. plate to the nudge bar, that's what I did on mine.

There is definitely a difference. I was down at John E's place yesterday and had a look at his. It's about 3/4 inch further back at the ends. I am going to have a good look at it this morning and see if I can make it fit with the existing one.

Yes Ladas, I could just remove it but it covers part of the bumper mounts so I would like to have one on if I can.

When i removed my factory bar and fitted the winch bar i did notice there were cut outs for the mounts to fit thru. I fitted it to the purchasers vehicle and he had to remove this plinth to make it fit, i would just trim it to suit as that was the only difference between his and mine.

OK. I have just fitted the bar with the plinth removed and there is no way that the standard plinth will fit with the nudge bar. It is around 30mm too fat at the ends. Hence the reason for the one shown in the images I posted earlier.
    The options are:
    1. Wait until someone finds one they don't need.
    2. Cut away the original so that it fits. This will remove two of the mounting pins for the plinth and leave openings in it behind the bar.
    3. Redrill the holes in the bar to move it 30mm further forward. There is just enough room to do this.
    4. Buy a new one at $113

I'm leaning towards option 3 at this stage, but it will move the bar forward a long way. The reason I like the factory one is for the neat fit.

I would go with option three, but still with option 1 turns up, as you can always move it back afterwards.

Or spend what equates to 1 and a half tank loads of fuel

I didn't think there was a difference until we compared them, mine is apparently the bit that comes with the factory nudge bar, we discussed it yesterday, so i took a side on photo, don't know if its clear enough, but it is definately different to his.
funnily enough mine did have a sticker on it on the underneath section , i though it was an arb or similar brand( sticker gone now)

Thanks John. I was going to take a photo while we were there but forgot.
