    Buying a disco 2 in Perth..woohoo

Well....after selling my 2 door and missing it, as well as moving to WA from QLD, I am getting my disco!

Selling the Sante Fe and looking at an '02 or '03 disco v8 from the Land Rover dealers in Perth this week. Either a grey or white one form Barbagello's or a silver one at Southern Landrover

I worked long and hard convincing the Mrs to get a v8 and she finally succumbed!

Cant wait to get it on the beach!!!!!!

Any comments on the '03 disc ??

Bit of a haul up to Perth for a trip...the Perth AULRO crew should do a trip down here...we have one or two beaches here you can drive on and the occaisional dune.

The sand driving doesnt excite me that much any more, I really want to get out the bush with the family to some less populated places...damn 4 wheel motorbikes everywhere here!

The best thing about the disco is that I can get an 2003 vehicle with bugger all k's at a reasonable cost....compared to a Prado or Pootrol

    Yahooo!
    Picked it up yesterday!
    2004 V8 D2 with 79k km's for a modest price from Barbagallo's.
Very comfy, oh boy, cant wait to get it out on the open road or out on some tracks.
The worst thing I'm flying back to Esperance and the wife gets to drive it back

Hmmmm guess Im going to have to change my signature now too!

I don't mind that model D2, the front end looks so much neater and plus a center diff lock (dickheads at LR SHOULD have fitted one in the first place. Morons ).

    Enjoy the new beast.

    Modest = $30k
I had the options of buying others from other dealers, but the fact that this one was from a factory dealer and is like brand new, with all service papers and not a mark on it inside, out and underneath probably meant it spent most of its life cruising around Toorak or similar.
I can thoroughly reccomend Barbagallo's after our experience there. All the staff were proffesional and courteous...it was actually an enjoyable experience purchasing a car there....and drooling over the fully optioned D3's and TDV8 Rangies

We could have spent less, and had $$ left over for bar, winch and draws, but we have ended up with a vehicle that is only 3 years old, CDL and the sexy front end. The equivalent Toyota or Nissan...well...lots more $$.

Give me a few months...31's, bar, winch, etc etc
