theres a guy on ebay (user name 58biscayne) that has all sorts of different kits a good prices, probably could adapt something.
Well we just got back from Melbourne. We left on Saturday in the 130 defender and it was hot. about 30 degrees. Not real hot but the first hot day we have had for some time. Sunday saw about 35 degrees I believe.
It bought back memories as a child with vinyl seats and red hot seat belts! However this is the 21st Century and we should all be living on the moon.
Therefore What are my options for AC in the 130 defender (98 model 300 TDI).
I know of the OME kit that you can get. Not sure if anyone knows prices? But what about the ones that sit on the roof? Sure there big and ugly and I have no doubt that it will cop abuse from branches up the back. Are they any good? Prices.
Cheers
Sheridan

There is another option - where you use the standard compressor and condenser - but use a 'mini bus' type evaporator - mounted in the rear area above the back door - or just behind the rear seats of a crew cab
I will dig out a few pics of the type I have in mind and post them up
Sorry can't seem to attach any file to the message
If you still want to view the types of evaporators I am on about - PM me with your email and I'll send it that way.
Bloody strange
Solved - see attached

Like this?..................works off the standard compressor, highly efficient - this one cools the interior down to 4deg C - on a 38deg C day in Cairns!, more than enough capacity for a tourist coach, let alone a Landy..........
..................costs lots........you might find one on a wrecked coach, or ask around....prices vary greatly.....
Now your talking! Thats the go! Any more info? Any inside pics? I was looking at these http://www.denso.com.au/products/aft...onents/bus_a_c
Fairly slim line looking unit. How much is "lots" ?
