Also with the instruments. I'm not sure what the old defenders were like but you often can not read the speedo or tacho due to glare on the new ones..... When i say glare i mean bad glare so now I often run my gps just so i can quickly see what speed i'm doing if I'm passing a speed camera or the like.

Congrats on a beautiful car, but you knew that. As someone who thinks Defenders are one of the best looking cars, ever, would it be taken amiss if I raise a negative?

I don't like the gearstick.

Nice bit of kit Solmanic.
I wouldn't stress about the above, Disco dash have a perspex cover. 5 children and mine is no shopping trolley. It's had dust, sand, sticky fingers and God knows what in there, but still clear and OK. I know of many others with a hard life and that's never been an issue.
Retreiving a $2 coin 99% inserted by then 2 y.o. into the CD slot was however

Looks great! I've owned my 2000 Fender for about 4 months now, is it too soon to trade in on a new one?!

One question - why do some of the new ones have white roofs, and some colour coded roofs? Is this an option when you order?

Cheers

Sean

Its stolen out of the D3. I've done 16k to date with no dramas.

They have colour matched roofs as standard, but you can order a white roof if you are prepared to wait. I ordered this in October so my wait was only about five weeks. The dealer did pull many, many strings to get it that fast. They had one unallocated vehicle in another colour which they swapped and swapped again with a Sydney dealer to get what I wanted. The dealer says the wait for new orders is now out to nearly seven months!!!

Where does the queue start to buy this one?
My thoughts exactly , nice, if I had a choice in colour it would be black first.....of course, followed by grey. I agree with Inc, enough is enough of these new, shiny defenders. At least it is motivational, would love to park one next to the D3, however it would be a lonely life after SWMBO took off

Regards

Stevo
