I know what you mean about the grab handles. Why are there 2 there for the non-existant back seats, and even more useless are the ones over the rear door. I had to go out and buy another grab handle for the Missus plus all the palava of making it fit.

If anyone from LR reads these posts: PUT A GRAB HANDLE ON THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER SIDE

Entire steering column assembly is the same as before. The stalks and light switch feel more solid - but that could just be because they're new.

...and the horn is louder!

It's just not right...

Well I took the Defender for its first run up the highway today and IT'S JUST NOT RIGHT! The speed keeps creeping up, it seems happy to cruise at just about anything over 100kph. There were really just too many cops around to see how fast it would actually go before getting uncomfortable, but 120-ish is a breeze. Even the speedo reads only 1kph over GPS actual speed (gasp).

Now we went through some rain with my wife driving and - joy of joys... we HAD A LEAK!!! Looked like normal service was being restored. Just a small drip off the underside of the dashboard onto the driver's foot.

It turned out that it was only the door seal not being fitted correctly and once I pressed it on properly, the leak was gone (and the driver's door was closing more easily too). Hmm.

Surely it's bound to turn to poop sometime soon...

It's quite amazing how quiet the truck becomes after you fit one, all the whining noises from the passengers seat seem to disapear. The noise started when I removed the steps. Cant say that I know why, I dont use that seat, no steering wheel
