Most of us Caravanners go there for bits and pieces.
Brian and his wife take time out to attend caravan and camping get-togethers and explain all about 12volt appliances, batteries and their uses plus solar power.

If you guys have a big weekend away, close to Brisbane, you should invite him along to give a talk on power for camping

    Cheers

I dropped in to ARB - they seem more interested in selling their own brand, not the genuine Versalite.

    Anyway doesn't matter.
I bought a real one and I'm happy.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

    Two points:
    1) Turks electrical suppliers had a Versa-light in stock, although I didn't price it, presumably other Turks stores have them too.

    2) Incisor's make your own is still available, although the 12v version of the CFL isn't available at all Bunnings stores. ( I found mine at Mt Druitt). Bunnings also have a metal cage version worklight.

Actually, Mr Incisor, I must thank you as it works really well. The 12v CFL does it's job without a hitch and lives up to it's claim of being equivalent to a 60w incandescent.

and they only use .55 amp each...

i use the warm white lamps in my camp lights and the normal white one on my work light...

still on my original bulbs so they last a fair while as well.
