    Post Land Rover Dealers are evil!

    I was in Cairns last Wednesday with dad, having a look around. We decided to go to the LR dealer and check out the new Defender. I found it a bit uncomfortable in the drivers seat for me as the seat wouldn't go back quite far enough, and it was a little cramped in the footwell. This was after stepping out of my '93 RRC mind you. While we were there I hopped in the demo Freelander 2 (TD4 SE) to see what it was like, and I was impressed. The Salesman comes over with the "key" to see if I wanted to take it for a testdrive, sure I said, why not. It wasn't like I was going to buy it or anything.....................picked it up last night.

    Yeah, I think my dealer is playing the same games. Last 3 times I have put the D3 in for a service they have given me a new Freelander to drive as a loan car. Take it home and the missus says that maybe we should trade the XR6 in on a new freelander. I possibly will but will wait till they have come down a bit first ....which they will if my D3 is anything to go by ,

    Nice choice mate... and I can tell you they are capable car.

    They really need a lift tho because each time I go out I have to bend the heat gaurd back to its original shape.

    went to that dealer twice in the last two weeks and couldn't get a salesman to get off his bum. It wasn't as if i didnt try only wanted to look at a new vogue

    A mate had a very similar experience at Austral's in Brisbane but I;m sure it's not confined there.

    It seems that LR have a knack for employing particularly arrogant and disinterested sales people ! WTF is that about ?!
