The site survives on the good will of users who donate their time, money, numerous other resources and a few very welcome commercial advertisers.

Without ALL their support the place would not be what it is.

The system provides an area called Markets for people to advertise, for free, anything of interest to users.

AULRO does not allow advertising in the forums as many other sites do.

but

Anyone, including commercial vendors, can advertise whatever they want to advertise, as long as it is legal in Australia, for nothing, in the markets.

I will NOT TOLERATE abuse of the system by those wishing to take advantage of the user base, without them contributing to the upkeep of the system.

NO COMMERCIAL ADVERTISING IS PERMITTED ANYWHERE OTHER THAN IN THE MARKETS OR THE BANNER ADVERTISING SERVICE ON THE SYSTEM UNLESS YOU HAVE A CURRENT VENDOR SUBSCRIPTION.

THAT MEANS :-

NO COMMERCIAL ADVERTISING IS PERMITTED IN SIGNATURES UNLESS YOU HAVE A CURRENT VENDOR SUBSCRIPTION.

NO COMMERCIAL ADVERTISING IS PERMITTED WITH IN MESSAGES in areas other than the MARKETS UNLESS YOU HAVE A CURRENT VENDOR SUBSCRIPTION AND ARE POSTING IN THE VERANDAH AREA.

if you are in are in doubt, ask me or one of the moderators or admins for guidance. Step over the line, you will receive a warning, step over it again and you will have your access removed.

If you wish to push your own barrow, do it in the markets or use the banner adverts is the moral of the story...

i have further implemented the systems subscriber levels.

New Silver and Gold subscriber levels giving more message and gallery space for those that want them.

Also a new "Vendor" subscription level. This will alow vendors to advertise their wares and allow users to inquire about them. It also allows vendors to have a commercial signature in heir posts, subject to admin approval to the size and format. I am hoping this will draw more vendors to the site.

Basic access is still free and always will be, these subscription levels are for those that wish to use more system resources or advertise their goods and services, or just help me with the running costs.

All monies will go towards running the system (it costs me $220 a month to keep this sucker afloat these days :P)

ADVERTISING on The Australian Land Rover Owners Website

Header Banners appearing at the top of many (but not all) forum pages are available.

There are two styles of service available.

Standard
The system tries to display your banner 500 times per day. Adverts have an equal priority through the whole 24 hour cycle.

Peak Hour
The system makes your banners a higher priority during the "Peak Hours" of 6:00pm till Midnight. The system tries to display your banner 500 times per day.

Service includes a weekly report of your banner statistics (views and click throughs) as well as a login to the banner server so you can view your current stats at any time.

Pricing
Standard AULRO Banners are $7.50 per week with a minimum display period of 13 weeks.

Peak Hour Banners are $15.00 per week with a minimum display period of 13 weeks.

You are supplied with a tax invoice.

Banner adverts are 468 pixels WIDE X 60 pixels HIGH

If you wish to proceed you will need to supply me with

1) A banner graphic.
2) The web page address you wish to click through to go to.
3) Email address for statistics delivery.
4) Keywords for your business.
5) Description of your business.
