them, both fronts at varying speeds.

i have been telling harry and jason about it for months, i could feel it and i could hear it but they couldnt, is the old fitter in me.... harry @ MR can feel it now it has gotten worse..

if slowly coming to a halt you get this vibration / rumble / chatter that affects the whole truck. it is worse when the truck has done 20+ minutes of work. it is worse when pointed downhill.

    it is definetly drive train

my gut feeling is a diff, cant pick which one but again my gut tells me the rear one.

got to drop th rear tail shaft and see what happenes first i think, front one is new just before cooma..

    any ideas appreciated!

    what is actually needed ?

If it is ongoing cash flow then why not have a system where those that want the site to keep going make a weekly direct debit from their account of say $2.

If 100 members do that it is $200/week or $10400 per year.

Not many people will notice $2 missing each week especially compared to the benefits it provides.

If it is direct cash injection then I have a fund raising idea.

There have been many videos of land rovers in action posted by members on this site.

Why not get all of these videos compiled together, documentary style covering all the various areas of this country.

I am sure we could get a member with the relevant skills to make this project a goer. I would volunteer myself but my experience is limited and it would be a bit amateurish.

It would take all interested parties to send in cds and a short description of where the action was taken and any other relevant info.

You would be mentioned in the credits of course.

It could be marketed via other 4wd sites or even the pommy LR sites and perhaps new subscibers to AULRO could get a discount thereby increasing the cash flow.

Whats everyone think about that ???????????

the growth has been exponential in the last twelve months, something i couldn't see coming i have to say..

12 months ago the system pumped out about 20 gigabytes of data a month, last month it was well over 120 gigabytes.

whats needed, in the long run a subscriber base about three times the size it was the other day i believe.

growth has to plateau somewhere, i have no idea of where it will be after the last twelve months or so.

other forums that kicked off about the same time as this one, but with multiple focuses have less than 1/4 the posts this place has gotten in the same time with about the same user numbers...

it has been a fair old ride...

there are several things afoot that will help, just have to get one to come to fruition sooner rather than later..

What about downsizing the Forums, there are a hell of alot and do they all get used, may'be delete some that are hardly used at all. In the last 12 months it looks like quite a few have been added.

I think I can see this happening with my home internet compared to work internet. Browsing at work is very snappy <2 seconds but at home pages can take 20+ seconds.

Would running some traces help you inc? I.e one from home compared to one from work?
