When it comes time for me to buy a winch, i probably would buy one of these. I know that you get what you pay for and if it turns out to be a lemon well that's the way it is. I would say that any winch is better than no winch. Some people (like me) have a hard time justifying 1,000 bucks or so for a winch, not to mention convincing the better half.

I read in a few other replies that blokes have purchased them, changed the grease and other bits, maybe some regular TLC and even rig up a weather cover or something, I don't know. So I reckon if you need a winch and you can't afford any other model then go ahead and get one ...... I would
