If you do a search there are a few threads on these winches.

haha. speaking of their electrical gear my friend got a computer from them a few years back and had to return it 6 times within 4 months and then was given a refund as they all seemed to be faulty. I just don't by stuff there as it isn't actually any cheaper.

Funny that, I have a DVD Recorder I got for Xmas last year and had to take it back, the replacement (was a display model) has been trouble free

Re- Winch. I'm seriously considering it myself, at that price it's not such a bad deal

Of course, there is this: AULRO Classifieds - Message - Powered by PhotoPost Classifieds

We thought about having a raffle with this as the prize to raise money for AULRO but would we sell 100 tickets at $10 each?

I've seen an aldi wich work fine, if a little slow. But then there's the theory of "would you want your pride and joy hanging off something you bought at the cheapest price?" That would equally apply to ebay gear also.

Probably depends on how you intend to use it I suppose.

Only problem with that theory is that the only winch that ive had fail on me, and it was the gear box that failed was a 9000lb warn on the old D series while picking up a fairway mower from freeway golf club.

Yeah Warn were happy to replace the winch for free but what if that were on your truck and not just dragging a 2 ton mower onto a tow truck.

The trick is probably more to know what you have more than the price it cost or the shop you bought it from.
