    Thumbs up Well, we're off!

Thanks for all the advice leading up to our big snow trip. Made life a whole lot easier

Heading for Forbes today, then on to the Snowies tomorrow. Will be in Vic high country mid next week.

Will attempt to log on every now and then, to see what's happening

    Cheers

We arrived in the snowies yesterday evening without a single hassle. The D1 towed beautifully considering the 4.5t of truck, float & horses the little oiler was hauling around. I've averaged 15L/100Kms for 2 fills so far. Thanks for the good wishesCheers

Had a full day of touring yesterday. Did the powerlines track from Elliott Way through the Bago SF and Kosciuszko NP to Talbingo. Snow and mud all the way Then had a look around Yarrangobilly? caves before heading up to Mt Selwyn. They had a decent fall of approx 10cm, but was still soft.

We headed down to Three Mile Dam and did some playing in the fresh snow (Piccies to follow). Our next stop was Wallaces lookout and then kept going down the 13km ravine trail to Lobs hole. I found out today that we could have crossed the river here and headed back out the Yarrangobilly area, but our technical department was a little lacking due to the failure of the SD card in my GPS (The one with ALL my NSW topo maps on it! )So after returning up the ravine track we stopped in at Cabramurra in the failing light to check out Megan's old workplace (& purchase chocolate for the rest of the trip home ).

Today was spent recovering the maps from my SD card and recovering a friends magna which couldn't make it up the hill out of Megan's property (my first recovery in a LR! :twisted2: )

So still having a wonderful time
Skiing tomorrow if all goes to plan

Piccies will be coming soon (I hate internet cafes')
