    How Attached are You?

    gday

this may be a stupid question, but i am just interested to know how "attached" you fellas are to your landies.

personally mine has just done a rear main seal and i havent been able to drive it or see it for a week and a half; and have been told it will be at least another week before i get it back .

now i dunno how to describe it but its just like somethins missing (yeh i know state the bloody obvious jock ) but things just arent the same. this is goin in depth but i havent been sleepin to well lately maybe its to do with exams coming up next week, maybe im crook or maybe its me missin my defender. ive been drivin my mums commodore and mum just doesnt seem to understand it. maybe coz she drives a holden

but anyway was just interested to know how attached you are to ur landies?

    Thanks

    Jock

I spent most of yesterday driving my BA Falcon around. I was sick of it by the time I started making my way home. Parking it is a pain when you dont know where the wheels are, I just hate driving anything else other than a Defender. It felt SO good getting back in.

I love driving my old Rangie. Even to work and back. The sound, the smell , i just love it.

When i bought it, i wasn't even looking for a LR, just any old cheap 4x4. Now i wouldn't part with it for anything. And it spends more time off the road than on (and by off the road, i mean engine pulled to bits in the carport, but the other applies equally too).

Considered selling it a while back for another RR, but just couldn't do it. We're stuck with each other

I grew up in the back of one... I have 3 series and a deefer, I will grow old with them, I will in all probability die if not in close proximity to then in one and hopefully my ashes will be inturned in an urn placed in the engine bay area of a replica series IIa that will be sunk somewhere off the end of the busselton jetty to form the first part of an artificial reef.

Should've sold the D2 a long time ago. But just can't get myself to let go. Instead I keep droping stupid amounts on money on it. I must be mad like the rest of you.

    Cheers

I am very attached. The olute is for sale and it hasn't gone yet (deep down I am pleased tho) I have grown so attached to it that, even tho the plan is to get rid of her for the next, I just don't want to see it leave. Sad - I know

Olmate isn't for sale ... ever ... she will be burried with me and the little 80" - she isnt at home yet but I am going to spend a heap of time with that old girl
