    steering guards

Looking to fit a steering guard to the 110 Tdi fender.
Who has what and any reccomendations or things to look out for?

I want something quite strong and that gives good protection from rocks and logs mostly.

    Cheers for the help.

I have a steel one on my Disco. Not sure who the maker is - I got it through Range Rov in Melbourne.
There are discussions on the merits of steel vs alloy. They'd both be Ok as protection probably, the alloy would be a bit lighter, bit might dint a bit easier.

I like the Troutbeck diff protector in the photos above.

I thought the holes were to keep dirt and mud from collecting, could stand corrected.....the mud would fall out through the holes and not have large stones or small rocks get stuck in the mud to cause any issues with steering.

About $250 I paid for the last steering guard I bought in July.

I've got the steering and axle guards on my Tdi and the steering guard on the Puma. Mate's got both plates on his "mongrel" County (don't take offence, it's made up of everything from Series to Defender but is an Isuzu engine) and I think he mentioned Troutbeck may be stopping the manufacture of the axle guard.
