    Ipod

    hey,
We jus purchased two Ipods. Now you know I have a 110 Defender and well I have Bfg Muddies for tyres. So you know that there is an elevated noise level within the vehicle. So What?

The Ipods can hold heaps of songs.

I purchased a thingy that you place in the cigarette lighter and it sends the songs to the wireless. How good is that. So now I have 1345 songs in my Defender.

I just have to stop or go slow to hear them

Which brand transmitter did you purchase? The one I had which was Belkin was absolute crap. When ever passing train lines it would have inteference and I could never tune it in even on my home radio. I chucked it out.

35 days worth it tells me on my old 40GB gen 2 ipod. But today I got its replacement a nice shiny 32GB iPod touch. Won't hold as many songs but will do heaps more. And before you ask... no I didn't want an iPhone, that's why I didn't buy one.

For our Madigan trip we used an 8 gig iRiver, the pioneer player was modded to take an aux input after a bit of research on the net (so I didn't have to pay for the pioneer cable/plug).

I don't have anywhere near 80gig of music to warrant a newer iPod, but as I'm now transferring all my vinyl to CDs and mp3 I may get there

ive got an mp3 reading cd player in the consol and about20 cd slots above the sun visors....

i recompress the songs to mono radio quality and they halve in size so I get about a 20 hours of audio on each disk..... Thing is I never lable the cds so riding in my rover is the ultimate in audio russian ruelet.

well thats not quite true.... my HHGTTG cd is clearly labled.
