    It's been raining...

    ... since last Thursday

I left the windscreen vents of the Tdi open all night Thursday so in the morning it was flooded

The Puma has water pooling on the driver's side floor about 1/2" deep It looks to be being driven in against the door seal by the heavy squalls we keep getting. But then so does a new Hilux down the street and you can't just get a towel and wipe it dry in a Hilux, it gets under the flooring! Anyway it's far to wet to stand outside and explore possible water leaks.

    Everything is wet!

Last significant rain here was over Easter. Weather is sunny and cool, going to cold overnight. 125mm so far this year, and beginning to get dusty again.

Spent the morning helping a neighbour remove Bathurst Burrs from their sheepyards - the burrs are dying from drought. But it is still probably the best season in nine years.

It seems to have stopped ... for a while. Radar shows it to the north and the south of us now, so I suspect we will get more overnight.

I need the dry, I have a vehicle to service and another to finish prep'ing for the big holiday. I don't have a covered carport though

    It is still bucketing down

I think we have had less than 12 hours without rain since 30 April and at least 250mm of rainfall

I heard yesterday the tracks been closed again but I suspect that is only within 200km of Gove as there hasn't been much if any rainfall further west and south.

Puma seems to have stopped leaking, so it may have just been a loose door seal combined with extremely heavy rain. I'm way better off than the poor wet Hilux down the road - soggy little beast in the foot well that one is
