    Oh Dear!

    Have just spoken to a Landy 110 owner who has a had his vehicle for 8 months from new. So far;
    It has had 5 months in the workshop, one dusted motor, (careful, watch the hose that goes from the crank breather into the air intake just before the turbo). This has sucked dust straight into the engine apparently as it does not have a proper hoseclip to hold the pipe in. He lifted the bonnet to show me and it was off again on the new motor! Says he cannot get L/Rover to look at the issue, although they were quite happy to replace the motor. Also, it had the injectors fitted incorrectly and loose and two injectors started "popping". I think that this mean't a new head. He likes the vehicle, but has had issues getting any messages through. There has also been bad dust issues into the cabin (they have had the roof off and resealed the doors) - he has been told that it is an agricultural vehicle and he has to expect this sort of thing. L/R have fitted extra rubber from Clark rubber to attempt to fix this. They have extended his warranty by 12 months and arranged free services for the vehicle.

    Hmm, that car sounds very familiar. Someone wore a very big bill in the end if it's the same car.

    I just popped the bonnet to have a look at this. The spigot joining the two hoses is about 60mm long (30mm for each hose). The smaller hose from what appears to be the rocker cover is firmly held on the spigot but the spigot doesn't sit very firmly into the larger hose going to the turbo. So i can see how this might happen. The preventative fix is easy....I will buy and fit a hose clip tomorrow.

    Mahn - could you perhaps put up a few photos of this and your fix once you have done it, please?
