VIC - recommended windscreen replacement - Quality Fit Auto Glass

    Hi all,

I thought I would pass on a useful lead.

I recently had a smashed windscreen courtesy of the local council mowing crew, and dreaded the prospect of having to find another windscreen for the Disco. Last time I went through this I was told by all fitters who quoted that all clear screens without a tinted band at the top were not available. The best I could find was one with a short tint band, but being 198cm tall it meant I had to stoop to see under the tint at night. Dangerous and stupid.

Anyhow, I was referred to a gent named Paul Perkins of Quality Fit Auto Glass. He's a Rover owner and enthusiast who does mostly prestige and 4WD work and came to me. He sourced a new all clear screen and did a brilliant job fitting it. He managed to reseal it with the existing seal (when many installers can't) and fitted it without making a mess.

The insurance will cover it, but price was very reasonable for that kind of service.

No affiliation with him other than being a happy customer.

    Contact - Paul - 0439 037 417.
