price for recovery???

like the title says.
whats the going price these days?
for 2 cars to come to the rescue?
using your recovery gear too?
2 cars to be rescued?

lambrova and myself went to a recovery tonight. 2 pootrols stuck good. they had already snapped a snatch strap, the d-shackle went through the windscreen taking a head and a hand on the way. just scratched and bruising, lucky.
they were there since 1pm, we got there about 8ish.
first pootrol was a single line pull.
the 2, well.................
double line... no
triple line..... no
triple line pull with lambrova attached to mine behind for an anchor..... finally.
low mount 9.5xp is a damn grunty winch.
cheers geck

my price rides on the commitment I have to put in to get them out, how friendly they are and how much of mine gets busted.

if Im there already, they're friendly and helpful, they're greatful and nothing gets broken then its usually just a carton and the incriminating photos.

IF I have to make a trip to get there they're not helpful things get broken and Im working so hard that theres no time for incriminating photos, well that could cost you more than a space shuttle.

IF they are'nt friendly about it they stay stuck.

I think you would need to be carful charging any thing, it then becomes a commerial deal and carrys with it all the insurance risk ect against any damaged etc. Me, I will/have travelled quite a few km's to do a recoverery, no charge at all. Hopefully carma is kind to me one day.
cheers

Sorry, for the delay, I have been out.

You could expect a bill as high as $4,000. Don't break down and all will be fine!

Having Dave recover you from the simpson desert could involve him, dropping everything, takeing his truck and one other vehicle, 2 people and upto 5-6 days.......A little different to half a day, out of a bog

I'd do it for fun and a couple box's of beer, take pics and you have a story to tell, hopefully oneday someone is willing enough to help you out

Recovered a fellow last week from Mount Louisa, stuck and left by his "mates". Brand new Jimny with now damaged bumper and under arch plastic, as a result of his driving. No gear whatsoever on board.

Had to leave work for the duration and use my fuel and straps (that I had to clean later and hang to dry, ((two days in this weather)). Don't know how but they got to me via Mrs TwoUp?

Anyhow he says I will get a carton! So far a text saying thanks, well it's a start

Pulled a Disco out of a running Ck on the way to Blue Valley on Saturday, however I did lead him in so this is a fare call.

Regards,
PeterW
