It certainly wouldn't be a straight bolt up substitute. Just my thoughts.
From what I remember brian, the landrover and Isuzu slaves share the same bolt pattern. But I will measure them up when it arrives. Hopefully by the weekend

I have a heavy clutch pedal too, so I'll be watching what you end up doing.

I just pulled the slave from my truck box to have a look at it.
It does have the same bolt pattern as the Landy one, but the diameter of the part that fits into the housing is ~40mm, about 4mm bigger than the Landy.
As you can see, the Isuzu slave is quite short in comparison, so the stroke might not be adequate.
Both of these have a 1" bore, so I'd expect a slave with a 30mm bore will be even bigger on the outside diameter.

    Cheers, Murray

Thanks Murray. I was always of the impression the truck slave had a 30mm bore? Will let you know how I get on. Was hoping the new slave would turn up today.

My truck slave is the same as Rijidij, and has approx 25mm or 1" internal dia.

Will be mating it to a RRC master that appears to be approx 20mm internal dia, and gives the impression it may have a much longer stroke than the Isuzu slave.

Yet to be installed so can't say how it feels.

Nah. Think of it as forum R&D expenses

Seriously though, if you're running a 7/8 slave currently it will still be an improvment, and likely last longer than an aftermarket LR one....

If its a larger external diameter there's also the possibility it could be bored out a few mm. Not suggesting you'd do that on a brand new one out of the box!

I think the booster solution is the best option if it will fit. The redbooster looks very similar to the Nissan patrol booster which you can get pretty cheap. surely someone has fitted one in a defender? If not I may have to do some R &D

Yeah I have seen that, but I have no room for it to fit. Also it only fits defenders
