    Part number for temperature sensor

Does anyone know the part number for a temperature sensor?

I went out and bought - PRC4430 - which I think is the V8 sensor. When I pulled out the old one it was the same part number but the gauge isn't reading correctly.

So, if someone has the part number handy...

Simon, That is the V8 sender number (used in hot climates). There is another V8 one PRC2506 (evidently for cooler climates). They both work on the standard rover dash gauge. If you have a VDO gauge (as on military vehicles) the sender part number is AYG9603...Regards Brian

In the Perentie parts list it's AYG9603 (screws into adaptor AYG9617 then into thermostat housing).

Thanks folks, went out and bought myself the other V8 temp sensor.

The bloke behind the counter says, 'oh the sensors are matched to the gauge.'

Didn't bother to mention that one the first time around, or ask for a VIN.

And of course I didn't work it out until I was well in the other direction. Not at my best today.

    Ah well, job for tomorrow.

    Sorted.

    PRC2506 did the trick.
