I assume that this only impacts some D3's & not D4's.
Or is the difference related to whether you have alpine roof etc?

						Check your fixings.
Do they look like this?
Or this?
To check pull the front of the centre light fitting down and undo the wire. Then get a torch and look towards each side.

						Not related to alpine roof at all.
Mine has the same fitting as the one in the last photo.
I suspect it is a one off in his case but LR won't admit fault. I think they are worried about precedent.
The owner does not want to pursue the issue though.
My concern is that vehicles with just the nut will eventally fail if you have a roof- rack as the load is not distributed enough.
