I would think in addition to the "Xenon lamps" setting to "fitted" you would need one of the DRL settings to be enabled?

    Mine has
    DRL Canadian - Disabled
    DRL Scandinavian - Enabled
    DRL Standard - Inactive

Note that my DRLs are not the fairy lights but the normal headlights.

So my summary of CCF settings that appear relevant is:

[Xenon Headlights] - Not Fitted > change to Fitted
[Corner Lamps] - Not Fitted > not sure, is this standard with xenon units?
[Corner Lights] - Disabled > as above, not sure?
[AFS] - Disabled > no change, requires extra control unit etc.
[DRL Standard] - Enabled > no change, should already be set to Enabled

I would expect but haven't confirmed the DRL setting is enabled in my MY14 because the round light functions as a DRL already.

That would be appreciated Ron. Even better would be someone with MY14 xenon, just in case there's CCF changes with the later models.

I am wondering if there's bulb monitoring CCF settings too, based on this description of the system taken from the WSM:

Warm monitoring is performed continuously when the lights are switched on by evaluating the diagnostic output of the MOSFET switches.
Cold monitoring is performed at 32 second intervals when the lights are switched off.
Cold monitoring is not possible for the low/high beam headlamps of vehicles using xenon bulbs.
On these vehicles the cold monitoring of the low/high beam headlamps is switched off in the CJB.
The CJB detects a failed xenon bulb via a reduction in current flow to the affected headlamp's xenon control module.
When a xenon bulb fails, the control module's current consumption falls to 60mA, which the CJB detects as unsuccessful bulb illumination.

Perhaps this difference between halogen & xenon requires CCF changes. Or the [Xenon Headlights] setting covers all differences.

No, for pre-DRL vehicles the DRL settings are for the headlights to be on without being switched on.

For MY10 standard bi-xenons did not have corner lights fitted, only AFS lights. However on my D4 the CCF had the corner lights enabled but not fitted and there was indeed power to the corner light pins in the headlamp connector.

Sorry I don't have a 2014 config, mine is a 2011 but here you go.

I'm closing the loop in this thread just in case others are searching in future.
Done quite easily in the end, only two settings to change:

    Xenon headlights > fitted
DRL Standard > enabled (may already be enabled depending on year)

My old 08 has this type like a fish eye. Are these the Xenon? I’ve always thought they were the best standard headlight of any stock headlight On a car I’ve owned.

Do they degrade over time and is the bulb a change out item?

PerthDisco - yes they are the Xenon lights. Absolutely brilliant and having done a bit of night driving on remote roads I never felt the need for adding any spot lights.

I upgraded the bulbs for the side lights to LED and added some make up to make it look younger.

I never realised there was a weaker version when I heard people complaining as some large reflective country signs light up like the Griswolds house at Xmas time under these xenons.

I think they were standard on the 08 SE model. Called bi-xenon as uses xenon for both low and high beam.
