    Question Loss of Mid radio pixels.

    Have lost all pixels in Mid radio section of 2004 Hse.Has anyone know anyone who repairs them or has anyone bought a knew one.

    Hi, I have to sort mine out too.. there are many tutorials on how to fix them yourself around online and a couple of places that repair them for you

    I had one panel replaced under warranty about 2 years ago. New panel has done the same thing (the one in the centre console - the speedo one has been fine).

    Reckon it's a BMW conspiracy

    It is / was a pretty common fault. Plenty replaced under warranty.

    Spudboy, I even seem to recall doing a claim on yours for the same thing.

    I have a new cable on its way, I’ll update once installed.

    Range Rover dead pixel repair DIY instrument cluster LCD, MID, radio unit.

    I’ve read that contact cleaner can cure the problem temporarily. Now mine varies in how bad it is so the cable theory sits well – if it was the screen it wouldn’t come and go…

    I'll be interested to see if this fixes it for you. Mine look like the pixels are completely off though, not faded like in the web link you posted.

    I saw a whole unit on eBay (display and CD player) for $25 about a month after LR had replaced mine, and I am kicking myself as I SHOULD have bought it as a backup. There I was thinking that the replacement unit was going to fix things permanently....

    pixel problems

    My 2003 rangie is having this problem repaired next week (around $250) by
    a mob in perth.If all goes well, will let you know.

    PIXAL REPAIR

    Just recieved my mid unit from bmw pixal repair in the UK.Works perfect and shines just like a new unit.Rudi gave it a clean, replaced ribbon and any defective bulbs.Cost was 140 pounds

    Smile Mid radio pixel loss

    Sent unit to BMW pixel fix in UK.Quick turnaround(approx.20 days)Cost about $300 dollars allup including postage.Tried replacing ribbon myself:dont work.Send to Rudi at BMWpixel fix.Is also on Ebay.
