G'day Ron,

It was great to meet you again, congratulations on the win!!

Given what that Range Rover has cost you, it's about time it paid you back with something!!

Wow!

I'm overwhelmed! I don't know what to say! My wife is also amazed that anyone thinks I'm a good bloke.

It was great to meet you all and to have a chat and a few beverages. Uncle Ho, thanks for your understanding about Lee - being an ex-biker you know how he felt about his bikes - and for being there to talk to. Some people thought we should have stopped him riding a few years ago (pffft! As if we could have!) when he was hit by a car.

The weekend was a blur and I know I've forgotten the names of some of the blokes (but not the women) to whom I was introduced. The red wine must have killed a few brain cells. I'm a bit pushed to put all the AULRO usernames to the faces and actual names - especially if we didn't get together for a few drinks.

Peter (ivery819) confused me by having an AULRO sticker with the name Dirty Luxury under it. I was blowed if I could recall that username on the forum.

Re winning the best P38A, I wonder what you told Bill Baker (the judge) about me, Peter. I saw you talking to him and pointing in my direction! It must have been good to give me first place as the British 4WD P38A from Buderim looked much better than mine. I guess mine was the only one with a few obvious mods, e.g. rear bar and wheel carrier, long range tank, LPG, etc. It was also very clean around the door pillars as I had cleaned them a week or so back. I nearly didn't go into the judging but thought about it and decided the odds were pretty good - much better than Series 1 owners!

Re meeting members, after seeing the sign on the back of her County, I couldn't talk Relay into a deal with a little rum or fuel (ask Dobbo).

She wanted a tank full of rum!

I was also very pleased to finally meet Numpty's Missus (Pat) (oh, and Numpty (Perry) ). I bet she no longer lies in bed thinking of me! And she looks just like Bushie! (Ooh, that will earn me a hit over the head!)

It was so good to meet people that I feel terrible I can't name them all: Cosmo (DiscoOwner) - I enjoyed that bottle of wine, mate!, Ben (Ben), Outlaw (Josh), Incisor (Dave), Weeds (Kelvin), Blacknight.aus (Dave), Fraser130 (Fraser and Sheri), ivery819 (Peter), Grizzly Adams (Glenn and Corrinne), Bushie (Martyn), wannalandy (Mick), Tank (Ken), Uncle Ho (Kevin), thethink (Geoff), Ellard (Wayne) - crikey the list goes on!..... and to meet others I knew already: Barney (Matt), Dinty (Dennis), Master Chief (Justin), IdleTorque (Greg), 4BD1Discovery (James), Relay, LRHybrid100 (Mark), Dullbird (Lou), MuddyMech (Ian), JDNSW (John), George130 (Edd), and many more.

Please don't be offended if I missed your name. My brain isn't what it used to be.

I wish I had bought an AULRO shirt and had my username/real name embroidered upon it. I must do that with the next run.

It is a pleasure to be associated with a group of people such as yourselves.

Yes, your P38A was very pretty!

Mongrel! If you'd been registered you'd have done well.

It was good to meet you, too Richard. (Note everyone, Richard may be heading back to the UK so his P38A may be up for sale).

It was great to catch up Ron after a few years absence of face to face meetings (last one Clives house about three years or so with Elizabeth in the County), and I'm not offended that you couldn't remember my name on the list above, there were many people you know there.

Hope to catch up in the near future not so many years apart

Jeez, dunno how I missed you Bryce after sitting and chatting so long at the BBQ on Saturday.

Sorry about that.

Ahh, the County weekend. That's when the Rangie broke the flex plate outside Orange and I had to have it flat-bedded back to Penrith where I opicked up the County and returned to Orange.

Was Clive at Cooma? I'm sure he walked in with you at registration.

Ron
