Sad Ending for a Cooma Family

G'day All, Cast your minds back to Sunday 23/3/08 (Easter Sunday Cooma Showground) when it was broadcast over the PA system to keep an eye out for an elderly gent suffering from Dementia had supposedly wandered away from his home. At that time he had been missing since the day before, anyway to cut a very long story short he was found deceased in his back yard, he did a bit of gardening and had an overgrown veggie patch on the property, he was found there last Tuesday, 8/4/08. I read this in yesterdays NMH (Newcastle Morning Herald) poor old chap,, Dennis

Yes, I remember the broadcast. Surely he was found in the meantime?

I think maybe the nose would be the answer to that, but yes not good Police work i must say.

Very sad but, maybe he was doing what he loved when he passed, tinkering in the garden and i would imagine he would have probably been there all the time, they just didn't think to look there.

Baz.

According to local cooma papers, the old gent was found about 5 kms from his house in a overgrown garden, not his own garden. Still sad anyway.
