was wonder if the pic/s taken by RMP? was ever stitched together, this is the one where they were standing on top of that truck stopping every 20m or so and taking a pic

I have all the pics on my hard disk. No magazine has used them. I haven't had the time to stitch them together; it wouldn't be a perfect stitch anyway like a panorama shot due to the camera angle, but it could work.

The aerial shot did come out -- taken by the wife of a local pilot -- but it's really not very good and no mag has run it to my knowledge. I'll post it here later.

I had forgotten about this, sorry.

If there is a volunteer, skilled with an image editor, who'd like to do the image stitch I'll make the files available. Would need to be someone who knows what they're doing with the likes of Photoshop.

I'll also put thumbnails up, but right now I'm about to go overseas again and am busy with last-minute details for that.

Thanks for alerting me to this post.

Update. The souvenir book has been delayed and you can expect it now in early September, the organisers told me today.

The airstrip pix I took have just been mailed to a member here who is also a talented graphic designer. They will be doing a much better job than I of creating something beautiful out of it all. I'm not real happy with the shots, but in the circumstances it was all I could do so hopefully it'll work out. The resulting image will be free for non-commercial use.

Update update. The Souvenir Booklet is not far away. I have been proofreading it, and it's pretty good. Includes the strip shot I did, plus the aerial pic, plus many others so almost everyone should be able to find their car somewhere, even if it's only a bright pixel. On the way to you next month I expect.
