Cheers, Mick.
Who knows when the first L-R dual cab was made?
My mate in Toowoomba has a new book and he says the bloke who wrote it says he built the first L-R dual cab in 1976.
I didn't think there were any til the 90's.

As stated, the first ever factory dual cab Landrovers were the bicentenary ones. But it is virtually certain that there were earlier ones constructed by owners. Mulder may have made the first one, but it would be a brave man who would say it was definitely the first.

Hello from Brisbane.
I read an article in one of the UK Land Rover magazines last year that featured a rare Series 1 dual cab that may have been a factory prototype or built as a one off for a special job.
I seem to recall that this vehicle had been restored from a 'barn find' - meaning that it had likely been originally built in the 1950's.
A quick search of the web just now found a lot of photos of older dual cab Land Rovers, including the few below - can't verify when they were created, but supports the suggestion that there probably were a few custom jobs around for a while.
Cheers
