24-25/7/10 Christmas in July

24-25/7/10 Christmas in July at Laidley

I know it will be cold in July but as your Northen Hemisphere cousins will gladly confirm, Christmas is meant to be COLD! just look at Santa he is on a sledge! sledges require snow! so come along and get into the true Christmas spirit, join us around the camp fire for festive fun with Christmas camp oven cook off, there'll also be a competition for the most festively decorated campsite too.

So bring a cracker! and the wife too and join us for a social weekend at the Lake Dyer Camping and Caravan Ground site in Laidley. Please book you interest with the campsite, we'll be utilising their group site so we can be together.

Individual camp fires are unfortunately not allowed but the picnic area adjacent to the site has a camp fire and plenty of fire wood will be supplied.

Camping fees are $22.00 for a powered site, $11.00 for an unpowered, the group sites are all powered. The campsite is offering the discount of buy your first night and get the second for free, so if you wanted and can stay over on Friday night then your Saturday night would be free!

The finer details for the oven cook off competition are to be confirmed

Trip leader is Paul Leadbetter

Still a good deal.

I rang to book mine today and can confirm that the GROUP site which the club is set down for has both powered AND unpowered sites available. $22 and $11 per couple(inc kids) respectively.

Payment is when you tun up (on site office in cottage at back somewhere) but be aware that they do NOT have eftpos - CASH ONLY !!!
So come prepared.

Cheers all !

Edit: Wayne can you please clarify - are you or pal going to book sites etc or do you want peopel to rinf and confirm their own so they can stake out powered or unpowered as I have done?

christmas in July

Hi Vlad

I have booked the group area at the campsite but those attending still need to book in individually, they are to inform the site staff that they are with the club.

Now don't forget to start preparing your camp oven speciality, this is going to be interesting!!!

Merry Christmas everyone

Wayne

Wayne

I will be attending this trip with Nathan, and a colleague from work with his son.

I will book the sites directly.

We will be arriving late though, as Nathan has to play Soccer in the morning.

I'm guessing we will arrive around 1.30pm

Cheers
Dave
