Hi,
the weather is a bit wild and windy at the moment.
Hope it settles down a bit for the trip to Tooms Lake on Sunday.
It is one of the many places I have heard of but never ventured there yet.

Hi,
Well what a glorious day we had, 13 vehicles left from the Woolworth's car park in Sorell.




We headed up the East Coast Hwy and then took the back roads.




Stops for the odd cuppa were of course obligatory.




Most of the roads were well graded gravel, but we managed to find some with a little more interest and challenge.



Our lunch stop was right beside the lake.



Then we went around to the 'usual' lake side stop near the camping area, our intrepid leader found the man with the key and we were able to use another bush track back to the road with out having to back track..



The track as plotted was 167 km, and a great day was had by all - and that included fresh field mushrooms from the road side, collected by those who appreciate them.
