This might be of interest to somebody. Not cheap, but it looks good in the photo.

Does look good. but only a 4 speed. The others I have seen are a 5 I think.

Hi Dave_s;

would this be a reasonable price looking at the condition of county ? it looks very good,,also wouldn't the 4 speed box be a stronger box that the 5sp?

I would prefer the durability of the four speed, but I would also like a lot more information before laying out that much on it! Could be worth it, particularly if the mileage is genuine.

Thanks for that John ,240ks would be reasonable for a vehicle that age , the izoozoo's are just about wearing in around this time

It's definitely worth a look thou...but Hoppers crossing might have to ask one of the kind victorians to have a look for me ?

It's hard to tell condition from a photo, but if it is in really good nick and the turbo installation has been done well I would think it's reasonable. They are a fantastic vehicle and for long haul, rough country trips can't be beaten.

As for the gearbox, you hear a lot about which is best (usually the flexibility of 5 ratios vs the added strength of the 4 speed), but I've had a few of these and not had any worries with either box. My current vehicle has the 4 speed and it's fine.

If I was in the market for one and could get to the location, I'd definitely have a look at it.

The owner must have spent a fair bit of money on it. Front and rear axles are probably defender disc brake axles as defender alloy wheels dont fit a county.
