WANTED 1997-1998 300Tdi Disco

Hi all,

I am currently looking for a 1997 - 1998 Tdi Disco, and looking to purchase in the next 1 - 2 weeks. I am located in Brisbane.

My preference would be for one with dual airbags and ABS.

If anyone sees or knows of a Disco for sale that meets these specs I would love to know about it.

Cheers

Quinny

I haver seen a few for sale. I'll do a search. I don't think they were in Qld though. Are you willing to travel? Are you really keen on abs and airbags? I regret getting the srs air bag model.

Hi Xavie,

The reason is am keen on the ABS and Airbags is that the majority of my K's are going to be around town.

However in saying that, I am doing my second crossing of the Simpson next year and the problems that i may have with the ABS and Airbags have been playing on my mind.

May i ask why you regret getting airbags and ABS?

Cheers

Ralph,

Thanks for the heads up. If it were in Brissie I would be there right now having a look.

I am not all the keen to be travelling too far to find the Disco, I am sure that I will probably miss out on a great deal, but time and work committments just do not permit travelling to look for.

Hi Qunny. Reason I have found the srs bags to be a bit of a regret is I had not researched the vehicle as much as I should of. So fitting a bull bar has become more expensive and a bit of a hassle as well as knowing the srs bags in the d1's are not nearly as effective as the more modern ones and their has been a lot of info saying the old design srs can do more harm then good as opposed to the newer ones which are very good. Also with modding a vehicle with srs I believe it is meant to be harder or have less options.

As for abs... I don't have it but I have no issue with my non abs brakes and am quite happy with them.
