I used LVS for many years and they were always good. Haven't been to their new premises yet... (probably coz I was in Switzerland and the old Turtle is still hibernating). They'd always dig up stuff you needed...

God, I remember them. Went there as a young apprentice doing a 'milk run' into the city and had to pick up a new axle for my uncles Series III. Walked in the door, announced what I was there for (had phoned ahead) and the bloke behind the counter pointed to a garbage bin full of 10 spline axles and said to grab one.
'twas a bit of an eye opener to a Jeep driver used to virtually unbreakable Dana 44's.

Just spoke to Brain on the phone to order some stuff, and as I described the part, he would recite the part number off the top of his head!

Had to get my rego done yesterday. Just had a new windscreen fitted. 265.00.
The guy from BMW got angry because I didnt have cash. He gave me a lecture on using cash. Went to the ATM and gave him the money and he didnt have a cent in change. That 10 min lecture and the rolloing of the eyes and you didnt have any change.
Called landrover spares,, ordered a pitman arm and shock rubbers. They arrived at my door in a day.
