Thumbs up Wolf Eye torches, ultimate accessory for a Defender

Well I have to say I brought one of these for ians birthday
Not only do they come in a really nice presentation box, so great for gifts and things

the torches are really really good....before i got this for ian he had a surefire for work. And although until recently he was always happy with it kept breaking on him.

So i got him this one

thats right folks its a defender torch!! by wolf eyes

First impressions;
looks like a surefire 6p, light and well made, 'o' ring sealed, nice fitting holster (available seperatly unless buying a kit) and most importantly it comes with a re-chargable battery and mains charger.

This particular torch's light output is 260 lumens from a single l.e.d.
No dead spot in the middle like you get with some other torches.
being an l.e.d it is also a very white light.
Surefire 6p picture

Wolf eye defender 260 below

the range on this thing is also a big plus i was testing it out the other night and stood outside my house and light up the house on the next street over if i had to guess it would be 100/140 meters away.
this is a picture of the torch at approx 660meters away facing the torch head on. from accross the water.

and the other great thing about this torch is it has 4 light settings so you dont have to have the biggest brightest light on all the time, which in turn saves on battery power.

this particualar model also has the bezel head, which is used to break windows etc,
personally i think for the ladies great for disorintating someone trying

to attack you and then planting it in their forehead (self defence only)

I also have a torch by wolf eyes and i too am really pleased with it although i only have the cree bulb in my'n i will eventually upgrade the bulb to led....just got my'n to keep in the car where as ian uses his for his walk arounds on the planes as the light will reach the top of the tail so he can look for damage.
you can buy all sorts of accessories for these torches including gun mounts, filters and gun end caps so you can extend the on/off down near the trigger (i believe)

So if you looking for a torch for a gift or just to accessorize the defender dont look past these little gems, i'm sure you wont be dissapointed

i wasn't

I can recomend Glen to anyone on here, he is great to deal with and is great with comunication over email, with responses in less than 24hrs.
he also thinks it funny when women have monster man hands...
If you want to find his website click on his banner!! I did and now i own two great torches

It looks just like my Surefire. I have not heard good things about my surefire so once it goes I'll try one of these wolf units. They are amazing the LED torches I have found. And if they last they are well worth the bucks. I only got one because of my hiking and not needing to carry so many batteries like I would with my mag lites and they have a great beam on them too.

i dont know which one you have but to give you some idea we have a SF 6p at home and the light output is up to 80 lumens where as the defender is 260.....the defender is more expensive than buying a surefire off ebay but i think the extra expense is well worth the light output and the rechargable equipment, especially as the amount of batteries you put through a SF would have this torch paid of pretty dam quick if taking the cost of them into account

Stop it Dullbird you are turning me on!!!

I have a LED Lenser Hocus Focus, for work, 3 AAA batteries and it blinds the bad guys when you shine it in their face . A perfect self defence implement, you can affect the scenses and also use the end as a Kubuton to atack presure points.

The range of the LED Lenser is fantastic, I would love to be able to compare it to the brand you have, always looking for brighter and better.

Cheers Andy.

Thanks for the info DB that is a huge difference in brightness! I'm not sure what model I have either but it is an LED and batteries last ages. I happened to see a new 3d cell mad LED for 25 bucks yesterday so I picked it up but I doubt it would compare with the wolf brand. I think I might try one of these Defender or Sniper ones in the next few weeks.

I really wish I could afford $1,100 for one of the big buggers of a torch but... maybe another day.....or life.
